Craft Experience: 48 years

Kanubhai is an experienced block maker. He learned the craft from different craftsmen. Initially he learned from his brother Bhikhabhai. He learned drawing skill from Dahyabhai Prajapati.He also learnt from Kishorbhai Gajjar. His wife Ranjanben helps him in block making. He has also trained his elder son Chetan Prajapati in block making.

1973: Started learning the craft at the age of 8 years from his brother Bhikhabhai Prajapati.

It took five years to perfectly learn the skill

1978: Started practicing the craft,

1988: Started his own workshop in the porch of his house

CHETAN PRAJAPATI

Age: 23 Years

Craft Experience: 7 Years

He learned the craft from his father. It took 2 years to learn the basics of craft. he was making only filling blocks but gradually he has learnt the fine carving. He was working in Gujarat Electricity Board on contract basis for collecting bills. He was learned the craft of block making while working

2004: Started learning the craft at the age of 14

2006: Started practicing the craft and assisting his father.
