About This Website

This website was created to promote the craft and craftsmen of Pethapur under the objective of a research entitled "Wood Block Making Craft of Pethapur: Evolution and Promotion" by Vandita Bhatt, PhD Scholar from the Department of Clothing and Textiles, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara.

A common website for all existing craftsmen of Pethapur printing blocks is built in order to connect the craftsmen with a global audience. A brief overview of the craft, Pethapur, and a portfolio of each craftsman with contact information may be found here. Through this paltform one can get connected with the craftsmen directly to arrange visits, invite them to workshops and placing orders.
